This form will create a Facebook auto-posting code snippet for you, to embed in your Donation Forms, Action Alerts, TeamRaiser Registrations, Calendar Events, or eCommerce Stores. The snippet enables these forms to auto-post to Facebook on behalf of users, giving your organization a pervasive Facebook presence. You can create as many of these snippets as you want, and modify them at will. Note: To work on Surveys, this form must be manually modified to detect that Survey's submitted page.
Current page's URL
Enter the URL that you want your constituent to link back to from Facebook. If you check "Current page's URL", it will share whatever URL the script is used on. This script autodetects Donation Form, TeamRaiser, and Action Alert thank-you pages and links to the first page of the form. For Surveys, eCommerce stores and Calendar Events you must enter a URL.
Autodetect
This snippet posts to Facebook invisibly as the thank-you page of the form loads. The snippet will autodetect the thank-you pages of stock Donation Form, Action Alert, TeamRaiser Registration, Ticketed Event Purchase, and eCommerce Purchase forms. If you're using something else, like Survey or an API method, you'll need to enter the full URL of the thank-you page here.
User can edit message
This is the message text you want to post. It appears to be said by the Facebook user and appears in larger black text on Facebook. Check "User can edit message" if you want the user to see and edit this message in a text box below the checkbox. You can also leave the message blank if this option is checked.
Search Image Library
Enter the URL of the image you want to post to Facebook. The image URL must be absolute and unsecure--i.e. it must begin with "http://".
If you entered an image above, enter the caption of the image. It will appear under the image itself in Facebook. It is uneditable by the user and appears in gray smaller text on Facebook.
This snippet appears on your Convio form as a checkbox. Set the label of this checkbox here.
Once the autopost completes successfully, your Convio page will display a short thank-you message (and a Facepile if you're using the Facebook API.) Enter that text here.
By default, "[[S0:SITE_NAME]]" will be used for the title of every share. Replace it with the title of your campaign, or of this particular share.
Check this box if you have Gigya Social Sharing configured on your site and you want to use it. Leaving this unchecked requires a Facebook app ID below.
Set up a Facebook Application and set its "Website URL" to your unsecure domain, http://[[S29:DOMAIN]]. Then, copy its application ID (NOT its API key) and paste it in this box.
Right-click and Copy this code snippet, DISABLE THE WYSIWYG, and paste it in two places:
